Description:
The durable, fiber-reinforced, and flexible Fibercut cutting discs cut efficiently and leave no discoloration.
Choose between three different materials: diamond, silicon carbide, and aluminium oxide. If you are unsure which variant best suits your work, you will find a detailed description of each material below.
Which material should I choose?
Aluminium oxide (corundum):
- The most commonly used abrasive for steel
- Suitable for soft and medium-hard steel
- Maintains sharpness longer during regular grinding and cutting
Silicon carbide:
- Harder but more brittle than aluminium oxide
- Best for soft metals (gold, silver, aluminium, copper, brass) and hard materials (glass, ceramics, cast iron)
- Not optimal for regular steel, as the grains wear down quickly
Diamond:
- The hardest abrasive
- Used for very hard materials (carbide tools, ceramics, stone)
- Not suitable for steel – the carbon in the steel reacts with the diamond (graphitization) at high temperature, which destroys the cutting edge
