GRS Basic Metal Engraving Course

Aktiv Guld offers a 5-day basic metal engraving course in collaboration with GRS.

During these 5 days you will study and execute fundamental engraving cuts on a variety of metals. Using the GRS equipment, you will be able to speed learning and overcome the initial artwork challenge.

The course can be tailored to the students interests and needs.

On this course, you will learn:

• Correct setup and handling of all GRS equipment and tools like microscope, graver- and sharpening systems, tool and workpiece-holders, burs, gravers, etc.
• Tool sharpening in theory and practice

• Line cutting techniques
• Artwork layout and design principles
• Engraving scrolls, borders, letters, and numbers
• Surface preparation for engraving

All benches are equipped with stereo zoom microscope, GRS equipment like GraverMax and microblock, Osada micromotor, and much more.

Aktiv Guld is the only place in Scandinavia where you can learn to work with the GRS equipment from a professional certified instructor.

The price includes lunch.

Upon registration, a deposit of SEK 7,200 is required. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the course starts.

If cancellation is made more than 14 days before the first day of the course, 70% of the course fee will be refunded. If cancellation is made after this, the fee will not be refunded.
