Castaldo Econosil is a harder and firmer silicone rubber, yet still offers high flexibility. Econosil is developed for professional use and ensures excellent detail reproduction and consistent wax injection – ideal for complex and delicate jewelry models such as filigree.

The rubber provides stable molds with low shrinkage (only 1.1%), contributing to accurate and uniform castings with minimal weight variation. The molds require no separator or spray – wax models release easily and have a smooth, glossy surface straight from the mold. At the same time, the material is easy to cut and work with, offering a clean and precise cut.

The rubber can withstand temperatures up to 350 °C and is suitable for casting low-melting-point metals such as tin, zinc, and lead.

Econosil comes in strips, has a characteristic reddish-brown color, and is protected with special release paper on both sides.
